I have a choice in how I act and how I handle my emotions. I decided I would refuse to let the enemy try to convince me it’s okay to go through an entire day in a funk, not acting like myself. Don’t get me wrong, I understand we all have those days. But, I’ve decided not to let those funks control me. I have the freedom to break free from those emotions, and I will choose to.
Yes, we will experience trials. There will always be something, but if we strive to plant ourselves by the living water, during the trails we will remain steadfast in His supernatural strength and will be able to conquer anything that comes our way.
So how do we combat this problem we all are susceptible to? Below are a few tips that help me and will hopefully encourage you the next time you start to worry. It is a battle you and I will face time and time again, but these 5 tips can help us conquer the spirit of worry once and for all.
Between the lines, I could read the tears he cried over me in prayer, advocating for God to save his little girl’s life. I could sense his utter defeat in attempting to fix me, and how he could only resort to trust the Creator of the universe to take things into His own hands. As an earthly father, he could only do so much. Only my Heavenly Father could do what Dad could not.
I think He knew I’d fall for the horses. He knew that my lack of trust in my body would remain until I was forced to come face-to-face with it, and so, He began a passion in me that would require such a confrontation. Thank you God for always having a plan, even though right now it feels like you are poking me in all of my tender places.
