We shift the discussion this week from praying for our friends, to praying for a different group of people. Each of us knows someone that doesn't know the Lord and as believers we're called to witness to them. Sometimes we aren't sure what to say or how to approach them, so where better to start than prayer? Join us as we pray over this specific group of people and ask the Lord to connect their hearts to Him.
We live in a fast-paced world where it can feel like we never have enough time to do everything we want. Sometimes we have to sacrifice our own personal time in order to fulfill other commits. Often, however, we need to be reminded that when we're serving the Lord, He blesses us abundantly for our sacrifices and even though we may have less time, He will fill our hearts with the joy, energy, and peace we each need.
It can be overwhelming to think about just how big the world we live in actually is. God reassures us in the book of Psalm that He knows each and every one of us by name. He knows our hearts, our dreams, our needs, and He knows just how to meet us where we are.
Seasons of life change just like the seasons of weather here on Earth. Ecclesiastes 3 says there is a time for different things to happen in each our lives, even the hard times. No matter what season of life we're in, we must trust in the Lord's promises and remember that His timing is perfect.
With sunshine and warm weather come road trips and vacations among many other things. Often times we get so caught up in the fun summer brings that we forget to reflect on the freedom summer can signify. While we can find things on this earth freeing, we can only find true freedom in Christ.
